『 Hey hey hey, iiit's Leia...! Sorry I missed you, but I'm pretty tied up at the moment--probably chasing my next story. Leave me a message and I'll call you back as soon as I can. Thanks! 』 |

I do! I never used to, but helping out at the game center kind of changed that, I guess. There are just so many different genres...
I bet you could find one you liked, too.
no subject
I probably could! But, I have a policy against letting myself do fun things. Takes too much time from working on the paper. Y'know?
no subject
Hearing Myriam say something like that is really kind of sad. Leia shakes her head.]
Just don't forget, you need a break just like everyone else. You might get wrinkles if you don't stop and smell the roses every once and a while!
no subject
And don't worry, my skin is wrinkle-free! You'd be surprised how much your skin improves when you protect it with a good box.
[speaking of which: she glanced around the room again. Is the yellow box she gave Leia anywhere?]
no subject
She doesn't deter her from taking interest in the place, at any rate.]
If you say so. But it gets so stuffy...
[......]
Anyway, I guess we should get to work. Unless there was something else you wanted to see.
no subject
[she spun her pen, pridefully]
Oh, you mean... your article? Sure! No time like the present.
no subject
Go ahead and have a seat, and we'll compare what we've got.
no subject
[she was a little nervous about attempting to drink while working, but... she couldn't bring that up now.]
[she went to (carefully!) take a seat then]
no subject
She'll set them down, then lay out her notes.]
Let's see... so Mosley's "cleansing" started on the 18th. That's when all the weird stuff started happening with all our electronics.
no subject
And then ViViD! And the train! And... and... that thing that made everyone really scared!
[she didn't even need her notes for that]
no subject
[ViViD WAS A SPECIAL TIME... and the train. She could say a lot of things about that, though they're mostly personal and not very news-materialy. She frowns: there are a lot of things Myriam could be talking about here.]
Wait. Which thing do you mean?
no subject
[...everyone saw that, right? It wasn't Scuttlebutt going crazy...
...right???]
no subject
...You mean LILITH?
no subject
Maybe that was LILITH.
no subject
He told me it was a dream, but that he wasn't the only one, so... maybe "vision" is more accurate after all.
no subject
[she'd reach for some of that juice, eye-ing it to align it with the slat she sees out of...]
no subject
I don't remember it at all.
no subject
...hm. Did anything happen while you were in ViViD?
no subject
Well... it was even more of an adventure than usual.
I mean, for the most part it was the same. Fighting monsters, avoiding traps, trying to find the end of the mission... But everything was so unstable.
People would disappear out of the game sometimes, and my weapon wasn't right.
no subject
["or worse," she left unsaid]
no subject
...Yeah. Something must have been wrong with the stimulus filter, too. People were actually bleeding, and the pain was real.
I helped out as many of them as I could find, but eventually I got booted from the game, too.

[Leia flips a page in her notebook and seems to circle something, as if to highlight it. It may be a point to focus on in the article.]
no subject
[she'd reach for a drink of juice, then... set it back down, without drinking]
no subject
[Maybe she got too stuck on that. She taps at her chin with her pen thoughtfully, but shrugs.]
I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as we mention it. Things should be back to normal now... I'll check with IV.
