[They've both been through worse. She hadn't thought about the blades of their skates though; she'll eye IV's as he stands up, and follows suit with belated caution.

It doesn't take long for her to return to good spirits.]

Sure did. Like a shooting star.

[She laughs it off and glances across the rink.]

I think it was worth it, but I didn't mean to take you down with me.

[rebelia]

[The thing about shootings stars is that they're romantic. Leia's fall? Was not. Just like everything else she's subjected him to, which is just, in hindsight, rather funny.]

There seems to be a pattern. You get too excited, and something is bound to happen.

[journaler]

[Like IV knows anything about romance, please. Leia doesn't seem to be discouraged in the slightest.]

I can't help it. Besides, you were the one egging me on.

[rebelia]

That was to get you motivated. [He pushes off the wall and swerves around to face Leia.] I should've known you'd go all out.

[journaler]

...Yeah. You should have.

[She doesn't do anything half-way, okay. She shrugs, smile ever present, and she'll push herself off the wall, too.]

Ready for take two?

[rebelia]

[That's what he was waiting to hear. On cue, IV starts skating backward down the rink again.]

I was wondering when you'd be ready. [He turns to face forward and calls over his shoulder.] What are you waiting for?

[journaler]

You--!

[Backwards. What a show off.

Leia's even more determined, and even though she's learned a valuable lesson, it doesn't deter her from chasing after him. They laugh, and of course she'll fall again, clumsy as she is; but by the end, she's finally able to catch him under her own power (without losing it).

For now, she's not thinking about IV's fate, or the fate of their worlds. She feels light as a feather. It's a rare feeling, one she'll cherish now that she recognizes it.

Much like the life and future of everyone on the colony.]
