Those are called 'buttons'! They present all kinds of different challenges. But I have trouble telling which ones do what!

[He stands alongside the treadmill curiously. Maybe she can figure this out better than he would.]

[She peers at him for a moment, as if to get his approval at the button her finger is hovering over -- but when it doesn't seem like he has any idea, she's just going to go ahead and push it #yolo

beep.

......]

O-Oh! It started!!

[WALKING PACE... YEAAAH... so Leia puts one step after the other, looking down and to the sides. This is totally foreign to her and also feels really really weird.]

Ooh! [He hums excitedly as she moves. He presses the same button on the next treadmill over and walks in pace with her.] See, it is working! Isn't it simply magical?

It feels so weird. [But in a good way, if her (admittedly nervous) laughter is anything to go by. She feels content for a while, adjusting to how it feels, but after a couple minutes, she's right at the buttons again.]

How do I make it go faster?

That is a good question! It would be great to have more speed! [He peers over his own treadmill's buttons.]

Hm... Try using the keys with arrows on them! Perhaps they can make the speed higher!

[...Logic, he has it. So Leia does exactly that, cautiously pushing the up button once as her eyes scan the rest of the console.

Beep.

At the sound, she turns her attention back to the arrows, and pushes up again.

Beep.

.........]

H-Hey! I think it's working!

[It's not often, but sometimes. Sometimes, logic manages to make acquaintances with Lee's mind.]

Ooh! [He hums and begins repeatedly jabbing at his own button.] Yes, it is working! Let's keep going faster!

You don't have to tell me twice.

[So she'll follow his lead, jabbing at her own button as well as she's caught in the moment!]

Wh-Whoa--

[She gets a bit wobbly, nearly tripping, but manages to quicken her pace to match the machine.]

This thing means business!

[He flashes her a thumbs up.]

That's right! Now this is a speed to build up a inner fire! [He actually keeps on raising the speed on his own machine as he runs.]

[Pretty soon, her inner fire looks like it's about to go out. She doesn't want to lose to him even more than she already has, so she keeps pressing the button in the heat of the moment...

That is, until a cramp in her stomach creeps up and her legs start to protest. With a face full of horror, the machine drags her all the way to the end, where she almost falls off before she desperately grabs onto the railing with a distressed noise.

The safety mechanism triggers and the machine stops cold, leaving her breathless. Her legs turn into goo, and she ends up flopped on the ground, already desperate for recovery.]

[Oh my. Lee gives a startled shout and leaps from his own machine to stand over her in concern, reaching down to try to help her up.]

N-no! Please don't die!!

[She winces as she tries to stand, but then quickly feels dizzy, so she doesn't hesitate to take Lee's hand. She shakes her head, managing to laugh weakly.]

Don't be silly. It's gonna take a lot more than that... hear me, buster?

[...She appears to be talking to the running machine. BUT in any case... she puts a free hand on her head, looking sheepish as scratches at her hair. She turns back to him.]

...Thanks, Lee.

[He does what he can to help her to her feet.]

You are welcome, Leia-san! [The tears are quickly drying as he smiles at her.] I appreciate your fighting spirit! You just have to train harder... and then you can truly show that machine what you are made of!

I will! Count on it.

[She lets go of his hand and balls both of hers into determined fists. It's a promise.]

Though you know, I still think I prefer running outdoors.

I'm glad to hear that! [He balls his own fists dynamically to match hers.]

Running outdoors is even better! That is true. We should make sure to jog regularly, in that case!

Mhm! Like maybe in the big garden near the apartments?

It'd be a lot more scenic than this place... [She glances around some.] But at least there are a lot of fun toys.

A beautiful place! Yes, it will be lovely to run several hundred laps in there!

[He nods as he glances around.] They truly are very interesting devices! Do you want to look at any more? [And try not to destroyed by any of the others.]

Mmm, after I get a drink.

[She chuckles sheepishly, spotting what appears to be a small snack bar out of the corner of her eye. Healthy things only, of course.]

Come on! I'll get us some.

Okay! Perhaps it is time for something refreshing! [He smiles and briskly makes his way towards the snack bar.]

[She follows behind him, despite it being her idea. She'll glance up at the menu boards as they wait in line, which admittedly is moving pretty fast.]

Do you want some water? Maybe juice?

[He glances between the options quickly and frantically as the line quickly shortens.]

So many decisions... How should I choose?! Please help me, Leia-san!

Whoa! [She laughs a bit. Because he's... joking... right?

...] Don't panic on me now.

We can just get you whatever I'm having for now, and if you don't like it, then... well, I'll just get you something else!

[He immediately perks back up.]

That sounds like a splendid idea! Ah, I can't imagine disliking something that you love! Please, go ahead then!

[Phew! Happily, Leia orders a couple drinks when they get to the front of the line. She wonders if orange juice will taste as good as orange gels do.

There's a small slice of orange wedged at the top of each glass, giving it a tropical feel.]

There! That wasn't so bad, now was it? [She hands Lee his.] They even have salads, and little fruit cups, too...

We could stay for dinner!

[He beams as he accepts the juice and takes a refreshing sup.]

This juice- such a delightful choice!

Ah, and dinner also sounds lovely! The options look very healthy.
